Chairman's Message #2

Quilting is our Super Power!
Or at least one of them.
We are smart, clever people. We can turn ordinary pieces of material into works of art, or a warm embrace. Our creations can share love, hope and more recently, safety. We have the power to lift people up and let them know that someone cares.
The Nanoose Elf Project needs help from the community. Our quilting community can help. We can put our super powers into action. Nancy McDonald has written a wonderful blog for our website describing some of the things that we can do to help out. Items most needed are face masks and reusable fabric bags. This would be a good time to try some new patterns. It will make a huge impact if everyone does what they can.
I will be shopping my stash for material. I know that there is some fabric that I loved when I bought it but still has not made it into a project. So now is the time to let that fabric see daylight and let it shine.
November 25 is the deadline for collecting finished pieces to be donated. I hope that there will be some volunteers to head up the pickup and delivery.
Be kind to each other. Engage those super powers!
If you are feeling like your super powers are fading, please reach out to one of your quilting friends. We are all in this together.
Take Care. Wash your 🖐 🤚 hands.
