We held our end of year picnic at Moorecroft Park on the 7th of June, 2022. There must have been at least 20 of us there or maybe more (there were too many for me to count 😉), and we had a great time! Because this was a lemonade social, everyone brought interesting food to share, and the lemonade was provided. Recipes for some of squares are even posted in our 'Documents' section on this website. Dianne also coordinated the FAN display which then moved on to the Parksville Quilt House Quilters afterwards.
Of special note is that we donated 32 quilts to the Nanaimo Hospital Foundation. I am truly humbled by the generosity of our group. You may not realize how important our donations are, but I recently received a telephone call from a recipient of one of our quilts! She sought us out to give a personal 'Thank You' that I pass on to you all. This recipient is also a quilter, and she really appreciated the fine quality of our work.
Don't forget that our next Monthly Meeting is going to be on Tuesday, the 6th of September, at St. Mary's Church Hall. We'll be taking membership renewals at that time too!
