Spring is here

What a great meeting on Tuesday! I learned a lot and my credit card will soon be getting a workout as I purchase MagEyes, microswabs, silicon fingers and a hump jumper. I'll also being making a pocket sleeve to go on a plastic stand for the tool holder that Ada showed us. Despite my best efforts, I can never find even one of my four seam rippers or 5 pairs of scissors without looking under every piece of fabric at least twice!

The minutes and show and tell photos have been posted to the website, as has Melissa's ridiculously easy lemon loaf. I was on a fast that day, so didn't try it, but rumour has it that it was delicious. The minutes are now near the top of the Activities page. I have posted the membership form in several spots on the Activities page as well. I have researched Lynda's question about website visits. In the last 30 days there have been 102 visits by 56 different individuals. Perhaps by blogging, I will be able to push this number higher!

Thank you all for stepping up to make book bags for babes. The pattern (with various options) is on the website Activities page under 'things to sew'. And a huge thank you to everyone for the 44 (out of 47 distributed) 'Shhh, it's a Secret' blocks that were turned in. The 'Shhh, it's a secret' team will soon be busy arranging, sewing, embroidering and quilting in preparation for the reveal in (most likely) June.

April is always a busy month as the warm weather encourages us to get back into the garden and to pursue outdoor activities: pickleball, golf, walking and hiking. I have been enjoying the Fairwinds trails at least 2 or 3 times a week. Perhaps we need a NQ walking group on Mondays or Tuesdays. Let me know if you are interested by email clsitb@gmail.com.
