Deanna's Show & Tell #4

This quilt is now in Calgary, a wedding gift for a friend's daughter. I used the guild's first four BOMs patterns for 2021, and chose some grunge fabrics online to go with a few I had. I found these blocks to be rather challenging due to so many triangle ends to keep straight under the machine, and there not being extra fabric for trimming. (Also, some cuts were 3 7/8 in, 2 5/8 in.) For the machine quilting, I quilted in the ditch around the sashings and border. Then I quilted each block with a walking foot. Manoeuvring the quilt under the machine was another challenge. I wanted to see all the lines in front of me, so I didn't simply free motion each block while keeping it in place. I made a template for the center arc and did the corners freehand. Included is a photo of a block quilted. Whew, I was glad to be finished!
