Judy's Show & Tell

Submitted by Judy Gougeon

This quilt required the most precise piecing I think I've ever done.  The pattern is called "Round Peg Square Hole" by Krista Hennebury.  I took the class a year ago and finished the quilt in April, during covid.  Staying home means you do have time to sew.

I bought two pieces of cork at the National show in Vancouver and finally used them. The clutch has a combination of cork and fabric. Barb helped me a lot with this project!

The colour is not quite true in these pictures...the wallet is really more burgundy-coloured than purple.

And this cork has a printed feather design on it. I combined it with grunge on the outside and a coppery coloured silk on the inside. I made it for my friend's 70th birthday.

And lastly, here are the placemats, table runner, and hotpads that I made with the kiwi print I brought home from New Zealand. I quilted each placemat with a different ruler, as a practice for ruler work.

Way to go Judy! You have been busy. I have a package of squares my sister brought back from New Zealand and gave to me. You have reminded me to dig them out and do something with them. Stay safe and keep guilting!
